ROSARIO AND MARIA ULLOA-SEVERINO,
FORMER OWNERS OF CAFFE CAPRI RESTAURANT IN SILVERLAKE TAKE OVER MANAGEMENT OF BELLA SERA TRATTORIA IN MONROVIA.
Rosario and Maria Ulloa-Severino have enjoyed success in the restaurant business for over 20 years.
Natives of Naples, Italy, Maria and Rosario come from families that are well experienced in the restaurant business from their
hometown of Torre Del Greco.
In 1988, Rosario and Maria decided to move their family to America and chose to settle in the Los Angeles
area. Immediately, Rosario began working as a waiter and Maria, working for renowned restaurants in southern
California prepared fresh pastas at Fresco and worked as a line cook at Osteria Nonni.
In 1990, Rosario
was offered a wonderful opportunity to work as a waiter/manager at one of Beverly Hills most famous restaurants, DA Pasquale.
Meanwhile, Maria worked in Burbank at Mi Piace Restaurant specializing in antipastos. It didn't take long though
before Maria joined her beloved Rosario at DA Pasquale Restaurant as an assistant chef.
After many years of hard work,
Rosario opened the restaurant, Antonio Orlando in Pasadena with his partner of the same name. The restaurant had a lively
atmosphere that was loved by all and Rosario's warm generosity in the dining room was all it took for patrons to make this
their favorite restaurant.
In 1998, after a few years of experience co-owning the Antonio Orlando Restaurant, Rosario, with his wife Maria, decided
to branch out and open the restaurant Caffe Capri in Silver Lake. Doing what they do best, Maria was the acting chef and Rosario,
with daughter Nunzia ran the main dining room. Caffe Capri held all the love and passion that Rosario and Maria had cultivated
all these years, with an incredible menu and friendly atmosphere that had customer's returning again and again. For seven
years, all those that walked into the restaurant became like family.
In 2005, Maria and Rosario bought Bella Sera Trattoria
in Monrovia. They look forward to all the possibilities that this new venture will bring. The couple continues their passion
for the restaurant business and will bring to Monrovia all the old world charm of Italy, along with the culinary delights
that Maria has developed throughout the years. Rosario and daughter Nunzia will greet you in the dining room and warmly accommodate
all your needs. Whether you live in Monrovia or travel here from a nearby city, you will not be disappointed when visiting
the Bella Sera Trattoria. Please join us for lunch or dinner and enjoy the goodness of fine Italian dining.
